NEW FOR 2027: CCHA Stallion Incentive Program

The Canadian Cutting Horse Association is excited to introduce the NEW CCHA Stallion Incentive Program, made possible through the generous support of stallion owners and buyers participating in the 2027 CCHA Stallion Auction, running January 15–31, 2027.

This exciting new incentive will reward the top aggregate horse in both the Open and Non-Pro divisions at the Calgary Stampede Futurity in September 2027.

Eligibility & Entry

All futurity-aged offspring sired by stallions whose breedings sell in the 2027 CCHA Stallion Auction will be eligible to compete in the incentive with an entry fee of just $500.

Guaranteed Payouts

The CCHA guarantees a minimum payout of $2,500 in EACH division, with prize money distributed as follows:

• 80% awarded to the owner of the winning horse.

• 20% awarded to the stallion owner of the winning offspring.

Incentive payouts are currently pending NCHA approval.

The CCHA Stallion Incentive Program was created as a way to recognize and reward the stallion owners and auction buyers whose continued generosity makes our annual Stallion Auction possible. By giving back to those who invest in the future of cutting, we hope to encourage greater participation, support Canadian breeding programs, and create exciting new opportunities for our competitors.

 

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:

For a stallion's offspring to qualify for the 2027 CCHA Stallion Incentive, the stallion's donated breeding MUST sell during the 2027 CCHA Stallion Auction. Simply being listed in the auction does not guarantee eligibility. If the breeding does not sell, that stallion's offspring will not qualify for the incentive.
